º Live&3D Imaging

Label-free 3D imaging for studying cell morphology and dynamics
Holotomography (HT) is an advanced imaging technique that uses low-power visible light to illuminate cells from various angles and measures the phase delay of the transmitted light. Unlike CT, HT uses the refractive index (RI) to provide imaging contrast, allowing the visualization of living cells and tissues without the need for labeling or staining. This service is offered in a CRO format, supporting clients’ research by enabling more precise cell imaging.

Advantages of Our Holotomography Services (HT-X1)

High-Resolution 3D Imaging
HT uses an LED illumination module combined with a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) to provide high-resolution 3D images of cells. By synthesizing images from multiple angles, it overcomes physical resolution limits, allowing real-time observation of detailed cellular and subcellular structures.
Low-Intensity Light Source for Cell Health Maintenance
HT uses low-intensity light sources to provide high-resolution imaging while maintaining cell health. This reduces phototoxicity, making it ideal for long-term observation experiments.
Label-Free Observation of Cellular Dynamics
HT allows the observation of cells without labeling or fixation, minimizing artificial interference and reducing the risk of photobleaching. With a capture speed of 1 frame per second, it enables real-time monitoring of dynamic cellular processes.
Multi-Well Plate Compatibility
HT is designed to accommodate various experimental vessels. It combines high numerical aperture (NA), a long working distance condenser, DMD, and motorized illumination to provide efficient illumination patterns for a range of vessel types, from 35mm dishes to 96-well plates.

Features

Label-free live cell imaging

Holotomography (HT) imaging eliminates the need for labeling or dyeing, therefore minimizing artificial manipulation effects and simplifying sample preparation. This approach allows the observation of samples in their natural state, providing more reliable and relevant information.

High-resolution 3D imaging

HT provides high-content, high-resolution, three-dimensional images, allowing researchers to capture detailed information about cellular structures. This high level of detail is crucial for studying cellular morphology and dynamics.

Long-term timelapse imaging

HT facilitates continuous monitoring of cellular phenomena over extended time frames. This feature is beneficial for studying processes that unfold over hours, days, or even weeks, providing a comprehensive understanding of long-term cellular behavior.

Quantitative analysis

HT allows for quantitative analysis of cellular parameters. It can measure physical quantities such as mean refractive index, dry mass, and concentration, as well as various shape measurements like area, length, volume, and surface area.
