Organoids, three-dimensional constructs mimicking specific organs, have become vital tools in biomedical research due to their ability to replicate organ structure and function. Despite significant advancements, current organoids face limitations like lack of vasculature, limited functionality, and small size, hindering their effectiveness in transplantation and regenerative medicine. Additionally, their reliance on mouse tumor-derived matrix poses safety concerns for clinical use. This prompts the exploration of engineering strategies and alternative materials to enhance organoid applicability in regenerative medicine. Notably, progress has been made in organoid transplantation, showcasing potential for functional restoration across various organs.
