Anti-inflammation

The anti-inflammation efficacy test for skin evaluates skincare products’ effectiveness in reducing inflammation and soothing skin irritation.
This test measures the product’s ability to alleviate redness, swelling, and discomfort, indicating its potential to calm and soothe the skin in formulations designed to address inflammatory skin conditions.

Assay process

  • Step 1_1: After culturing the cell line, it undergoes a stabilization process.
  • Step 1_2: Identify the concentration range for sample toxicity and establish the test concentration.
  • Step 2_1: Cultivating keratinocytes that modulate skin immunity through inflammatory cytokines.
  • Step 2_2: Stabilize cells by culturing them in a 24-well plate for approximately one day.
  • Step 2_3: After confirming the status of stabilized cells, treat with TNF-α alone or simultaneously with the sample.
  • Step 2_4: The anti-inflammatory activity was assessed by comparing the quantity of inflammatory cytokines produced in the TNF-α treated group and the group treated simultaneously with the sample.
