Anti-Hair loss

Anti-Hair loss efficacy test utilizes cultured skin cells or hair follicle cells to assess the impact of a test substance, such as a skincare product or treatment, on factors associated with hair loss.
This may include evaluating cell viability, hair follicle health, and the potential of the substance to stimulate hair growth or inhibit factors linked to hair loss.

Anti-apoptotic effect of hair follicle dermal papilla cells

Evaluate the efficacy of samples in preventing dermal papilla cell death using dermal papilla cells that regulate the growth of hair follicles.

Assay process

  • Step 1_1: The stabilization process is conducted through cell culture
  • Step 1_2: Identify sample toxicity concentration range and set test concentration
  • Step 2_1: Culturing keratinocytes or dermal papilla cells involved in the growth of hair follicles.
  • Step 2_2: Stabilize cells by culturing them in a 96-well plate for about 1 day.
  • Step 2_3: After confirming the condition of stabilized cells, treat with DHT or H2O2 alone or simultaneously with the sample.
  • Step 2_4: Evaluate the efficacy of preventing the death of dermal papilla cells or keratinocytes by comparing the cell survival rate of the H2O2 treated group and the group treated simultaneously with the sample.
